Botswana will at midnight commence a state of emergency for 28 days and a process of extreme social distancing with movement out of homes restricted to those performing essential services and transporting essential goods to contain spread of Corona Virus through touching or coughing.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness has issued a mandatory recall to all wholesalers, supermarkets, distributors, retailers, traders and importers for canned 400g pilchards in tomato sauce and 400g pilchards in chilli sauce with immediate over health concerns.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness has today revealed it is considering submitting proposals for the amendment of the country’s abortion laws to make it easier to ‘kill unwanted babies.’ It however was not clear whether they will conduct a referendum or proceed unilaterally.
