Statistics globally reveal that living with pets which do not cause any unease for the owner creates a much greater experience and bond for both owners and those living in surrounding areas. This was the message coming out of social walk by dog lovers outside the precinct of the Gaborone city centre early Saturday morning.
Mosotswana Distributors of Nutribyte Pet Care in Botswana connected clients and prospective buyers at Molapo Crossing for inaugural social get together and information sharing dog walk.
“It was just great to see family members of all ages bonding with their animals. I also thought it was very great to see a very young adolescent dog trainer taking adult dogs through basic obedience training exercises. It highlighted the importance of proper socialization of all dog breeds and the absolute joy a well balanced socialized dog brings,” said Sello Motseta, Director of Mosotswana Distributors – Suppliers of Nutribyte Pet care.
He said, “The Nutribyte Lovers Dog Walk was designed to empower the general public, with basic information about our products and services. We were able to provide samples and get feedback from customers on their needs and explore meaningful ways in which we can better serve them.”
A short walk followed a short pep talk and was accompanied by a dog obedience demonstration before participants disbursed without incident. It was a family affairs with many dog owners accompanied by pre-teen children.
